Wild Greens Supreme™ was designed with the objective of creating a superior green food product that effectively benefits a vast majority of consumers. The herbs used are nutritive but not overly medicinal, allowing for daily consumption that provides a therapeutic dose of nutraceuticals and phytochemicals.
Notably missing are the cereal grasses (such as wheat and barley grass juice), various algaes (like spirulina, chlorella, and blue-green algae), and legume foliage (like alfalfa). Most other “greens” products on the market contain at least one of these. However, Supreme Nutrition chose not to include grass juice from gluten-containing grains to prevent potential reactions in gluten-sensitive individuals. Algae were excluded due to the risk of excitotoxins, toxic metals, and possibly other factors. Despite evaluating various algaes for about twenty years, the company has not yet found one that benefits the majority of patients. There are also concerns about the suitability of alfalfa for human consumption. Although it has a good nutritional profile, it is better suited for a horse's digestive system and even then it can be easily overdone.
