Ultra Gamma E Complex 60 softgels

Ultra Gamma E Complex contains increased levels of gamma tocopherol along with tocotrienols. This full spectrum vitamin E product includes all eight naturally occurring tocopherol and tocotrienol isomers that are found in nature. Studies now suggest that both the molecular and therapeutic targets of the tocotrienols are distinct from those of the tocopherols. Dr. Aggarwal of The University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, refers to tocotrienols as “The vitamin E of the 21st Century.” Taken orally, tocotrienols are bioavailable to all vital organs, and have been shown to have neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory properties.

Gamma tocopherol represents typically about 70% of the vitamin E consumed in a typical US diet. Recent research indicates that gamma tocopherol is more effective than alpha tocopherol for maintaining health of the prostate and reducing normally occurring oxidative DNA damage. It should be noted that high doses of alpha-tocopherol deplete plasma and tissue gamma-tocopherol.
