Probiotics and Your Gut

Re-Balance is Step 4 of my strategy for restoring and maintainging gut health. We all have a vague idea of what probiotics are, but do you really understand how important they are?

Recent studies have shown that changes in gut flora (probiotics in the gut) have been linked to cancer, diabetes, fatigue, obesity, and more. In fact, we have more bacteria cells in our guts than we have human cells! These good and bad bacteria inside of us actually outnumber our own human cells. That is why it is so important to keep the bad guys in check or they can over grow and cause a lot of unpleasant symptoms.  

Here is how to keep the good bacteria happy and thriving: Eat probiotic foods and take a probiotic supplement. I've been in the health industry for over 10 years and I have seen hundreds of probiotic supplements and I can tell you one thing----a lot of them are not worth the money. Often these pills are not strong enough, have too many fillers, or don't even have live bacteria in them at all. A majority of these pills don't even make it past your stomach acid.
