Allergy Research Group Brand Introduction
For some, allergies go beyond the sniffles and sneezes that come when you are outside. Allergies in supplements can pose a huge health risk to sensitive individuals. Anyone that suffers from a severe allergy knows how hard it is to find a reliable food, medicine, supplement, or other necessity that will not create a disaster for their body.
Since 1979, Allergy Research Group has taken their supplement creation extremely seriously--- from the beginning stages to the final result. Their quality control is immaculate. Third party testing, top of the line materials, and full disclosure to the patient are only a few of the ways that Allergy Research Group has set themselves apart in the competitive supplement industry. Additionally, they have a specific Scientific Advisory Board that adds a wealth of knowledge to the development of these supplements. This board includes professionals in the fields of molecular genetics, alternative medicine, and nutrition. This board includes the founder, Dr. Stephen Levine. With the incredible amount of work that is done in the preparation, creation, and completion of these products, many sensitive patients are able to take these supplements without fear of going into anaphylactic shock or suffering from a catastrophic allergy attack. Keeping their standard of excellence high, Allergy Research Group has succeeded in satisfying the needs of the niche allergy-suffering customer base.
Hypoallergenic is defined as “diminished potential for causing an allergic reaction.” For example, if you are looking for a “hypoallergenic” dog you will likely be referred to a poodle. They are less likely to cause reactions in people who are allergic to dogs. In the world of supplements there are often many allergens in one pill. You could be allergic to one of the ingredients, the material the capsule is made from, or a preservative. The Allergy Research Group strives to solve that problem for you.
Their formulas are free from:
- Wheat/Gluten
- Dairy
- Soy
- Corn
- Tree nuts/peanuts
- Egg
- Shellfish
- Fish
- Sesame
- Yeast
This might seem like an easy feat at first glance. But it is more involved than you might think. Allergy Research Group takes the extra steps of testing their raw materials when they arrive and testing their finished products with PCR/DNA testing. This process ensures that their ingredients aren’t cross-contaminated during the mixing, encapsulating, and packaging processes.
Allergy Research Group boasts an extensive line of formulas. Here are a few of my favorites.
Advanced NeuroPlus®
This formula supports your nervous system and brain.
-
Neumentix, which is a proprietary spearmint compound improves sleep and boosts cognition. This brain-boosting nutrient also supports working memory.
- Lion’s mane mushrooms are white circular fungi that have shaggy spines. These mushrooms can help with cognition and heart health. One human study showed a reduction in cognitive decline.
-
The proprietary lipid blend uses specific nutrients to maximize the levels of cellular uptake and utilization of your cell membranes. Healthy membranes are key to removal of cellular waste, proper communication between cells, and hormone sensitivity.
-
Neurofactor is a patented coffee plant extract. Coffea arabica refers to the usage of the entire coffee plant’s fruit. Typically, when the coffee bean is harvested the fruit is discarded. Studies have shown that ingesting a small amount of the fruit increases the amounts of neurotrophic factors (BDNF) in humans. This is a protein that boosts neuron activity.
- American Ginseng has been present in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. By supporting cognitive functions, American Ginseng has the ability to affect working memory and alertness. In a small study a single dose helped the participants with their memory and alertness within 1 hour and the effects lasted for 6 hours.

NAC 500 mg
NAC (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine) is an antioxidant and immune system-boosting nutrient that is derived from the amino acid, L-cysteine. Antioxidants are extremely important in supporting your health, as they protect against free radicals that can damage your body overtime. There is mounting evidence that many dangerous diseases in humans like cancer, joint diseases, diabetes, asthma, and other degenerative diseases, can be linked to free radicals -. An important function of NAC is that it is a precursor to glutathione, another important antioxidant.
There are many conditions that have been studied with NAC as a possible treatment option. The first would be chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis is defined as having a persistent cough for more than three months in one year, for a total of two years. A goal in the treatment of chronic bronchitis is to decrease the intensity of the cough. In Europe, they use NAC as an anti-inflammatory as well as an antioxidant treatment. The frequency of these coughs is then decreased and symptoms are improved overall. The second condition is ulcerative colitis. Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory disorder that affects your digestive tract. NAC has been shown in studies to modify the inflammatory response as well as protect against the oxidants’ impact on the digestive tract.
Jo B. purchased this product on our website and says, “Great product for liver.”
Nattokinase 100 mg NSK-SD®
Nattokinase is derived from a Japanese food called “natto.” Natto is boiled soybeans that have been fermented using Bacillus subtilis. Natto has been a staple in Japanese diets for generations. These fermented and boiled soybeans are more than they appear however. Nattokinase has been used to support a healthy heart, blood pressure, and coagulation of blood. Did you know that this Nattokinase formula was the first one to be introduced into the US supplement market? This formula has set the bar for other similar formulas that have followed. With their safety studies and proven potency, Allergy Research Group’s formula has shown that their formula is the best.
In 2019, 32% of all deaths globally were cardiovascular-related. Of those deaths, 98% were due to heart attacks and strokes. Heart health has become more important than ever. Nattokinase supports healthy blood coagulation as well as lowers lipids and treats hypertension. According to an academic article in the US National Library of Medicine, Nattokinase has many preventive qualities with regard to cardiovascular diseases. Although there have been many articles and smaller studies that have come out in support of Nattokinase and cardiovascular diseases, there is not enough evidence through clinical human studies to be conclusive. This is due to the fact that Nattokinase is registered as a supplement, rather than a drug. While clinical studies do not have sufficient evidence, there is a long history of this formula being safely taken and well-tolerated by humans.
