Sleep Earlier in the Winter
What is 1 thing you can STOP 🛑 doing in support of 1 thing you will START ✔️ doing to change your life by 5%?
What habits are worth your time and energy and which habits are not worth it? I've got 1 habit you can start and 1 habit you should stop, today!
It's that time of year for most people in the Western Hemisphere. The days are shorter and the nights are longer. Early sunset means more hours of darkness. While the sun sleeps, the earth and your body cool down. Colder weather and less daytime hours mean your body needs more sleep.
✔️ Go to bed earlier during winter months

The National Sleep Foundation recommends between 1.75-2.5 hour more per night during colder seasons. So if you normally get 7 hours of sleep, your body will benefit from 8.75 to 9.5 hours of sleep during winter months.
🛑 Stop ignoring your circadian rhythm
Your circadian rhythm is set by your exposure to light among other things. It governs your energy and alertness. It only makes sense that less light means less energy and alertness and results in more sleep.
Moving the needle by small increments yields large results over time.✔️ Start supporting your life with foundational healthy habits and 🛑 stop sabotaging yourself.
