Spring: A Time For Detox

by Carly Neubert, BA, NC June 01, 2015

Spring is the season of new growth and re-birth.  Although it may not be snowy or particularly blustery in my neck of the woods,  Spring is a welcome relief from the harsh winter.

In the Spring we clear away the old and decaying debris to make room for new growth and life.  Just think about the work you have to do in your garden.  When Springs arrives I go out in my garden beds and clear away all the decaying organic matter that has been sitting over the winter.  We can apply this same concept to our bodies, especially the liver.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), spring is known as the time of the liver.  So, it is only fitting to think of a liver detox in the Spring. The liver is located on the right side and rests partially under the right rib cage.  It is the major detoxifying organ of the body.  It is constantly filtering toxins, hormones, nutrients, and metabolites.  The liver can get a back-log of toxins and the only way to release those is through a guided cleanse or detox program.

Have you ever seen those advertisements for a juice cleanse?  They seem so easy and glamorous.  What do you think about drinking just liquids for 3,5, or 7 days?  I think it is a bad idea!

I advocate for food-based gentle detox programs.  Although juice fasting is an effective way to detox, it can cause undue fatigue and unstable blood sugar.  In other words, when you do a juice fast you can become tired and crabby.  So I recommend easily digestible foods and liver-specific supplements as the foundation of a good and GENTLE detox program.

I know that most people don't have a lot of time to meal plan and cook, let alone plan a detox program for themselves.  That is why I recommend the PaleoCleanse Plus 14 Day Detoxification Program.  This kit includes a science-based combination proven to decrease toxins in the liver.

Do you need a jump-start to a new healthy lifestyle?

Do you need to clear out old junk from unhealthy choices?

Are you ready to change your eating habits?

Are you ready for a convenient and gentle detox program?

If you answered YES to any of these question, then the PaleoCleanse Plus 14 Day Detoxification Program is for you.

This 14 day kit includes everything you need including meal plans, grocery lists, email support, pharmaceutical grade nutrients, and toxicity evaluation.

Want some added value? Schedule a phone consultation to review the program and set some  SMART goals to keep you on your healthy path.  Frequent detoxing is an integral part of anyone's health plan, so let's get started today.
