Carditone by Ayush Herbs: A Natural Solution for Healthy Blood Pressure

by Carly Neubert, BA, NC , Published September 24, 2025

Balancing your blood pressure can feel daunting.  It’s a crucial part of keeping your body happy and healthy, yet it can be a frustrating process of trial and error that leaves you with undesirable side effects and not a lot of progress. Daily habits and diet choices can be a huge help in this process, but sometimes a little assistance from a supplement can be what makes that final difference. It’s important to carefully vet the supplement chosen because many supplements and medications for blood pressure can have negative effects on other facets of your body when used long-term. Ayush Herbs is a company that has worked hard to provide a safe and effective supplement to assist in supporting normal blood pressure. In this blog, I’ll give a little background on the company and Ayush Carditone - the supplement they formulated for blood pressure support. By the end, you’ll have a better understanding of what makes this formula unique as I take you through each ingredient.

Ayush Herbs

Ayush Herbs is a company that was founded on the building blocks of Ayurvedic Medicine paired with modern naturopathic medicine. Ayurvedic Medicine, also known as Ayurveda, is an ancient Indian medical system that relies on natural holistic approaches to physical and mental health. Built on the principles of Ayurveda, Ayush Herbs believes that when plants, people and the planet are all happy and healthy that will bring about the best quality in their supplements. In 1988 the Sodhi brothers founded Ayush Herbs, Inc. The Sodhi brothers came to the United States wanting to share their knowledge of Ayurveda to bring about healing but found it was difficult to find high quality products. They searched everywhere, including their native India but found that the products were too contaminated. Determined to help patients get feeling better, they set out to provide what they were looking for! The Sodhi brothers returned to India to buy their own farms and make sure that the plants were taken care of properly. Now Ayush Herbs grows its herbs in the Himachal Pradesh region of the Himalayas. Here they grow uncontaminated to cultivate the best quality and uphold high purity standards.

What’s What in Carditone

Carditone is one of the standout supplements in the Ayush Herbs line-up. Carditone combines a number of herbs and extracts to support heart function and healthy blood pressure levels. Carditone can be calming to the body and help bring balance. Blood pressure can affect the body in many different ways. For a refresher on blood pressure and the overall effects of Carditone, take a look at my previous blog post Ayush Carditone & Balancing Your Blood Pressure. For now, let’s take a look at each puzzle piece that makes Carditone what it is!

Boerhavia (boerhaavia diffusa) root

Boerhavia is part of the Rasayana branch of Ayurvedic medicine. This branch is all about homeostasis that slows or even reverses the aging process and assists in the prevention of disease. It provides rejuvenation for the body and psyche. Boerhavia has been used widely in traditional Indian medicine. This root has been reported to contain 14 amino acids, as well as vitamins C and B and calcium. Boerhavia’s properties help the body better adapt as it encounters various stressors. The support of Boerhavia on overall wellness and immune function has made it a common ingredient in ayurvedic formulas. If you’d like to learn more about the ins and outs of this ingredient and its usage, check out this study

Cabbage rose (rosa centifolia) flower

Cabbage rose is used largely to help manage inflammation. It is often referred to as a relaxant. These qualities have also shown great impact on the heart and blood. Heart-soothing properties of Cabbage Rose Flower can reduce stress-related tension and support cardiovascular wellbeing as a whole.

Shankhpushpi (convolvulus pluricaulis) herba

As with many ayurvedic herbs, Shankhpushpi can be applied to a myriad of health concerns. The property most helpful for Carditone is that of ‘Hridaya’. Hridaya refers to heart and supplements and practices that are heart healing. Shankhpushpi includes helpful alkaloids, various oils and acids that contribute to a strong antioxidative nature. Shankhpushpi helps to strengthen heart muscles and prevent lipid buildup in the blood vessels which would affect blood pressure.

Arjuna (terminalia arjuna) bark

Arjuna is a significant cornerstone of Carditone. Arjuna is known as a strong heart tonic and cardioprotective herb. Arjuna helps to strengthen the cardiac muscles. This support helps to improve the circulation of coronary artery blood flow and protect your heart muscles from the damage that can come from not receiving normal blood flow. As arjuna works to dilate and relax your blood vessels, blood pressure can be lowered and maintained at a healthy normal range.

Tribulus terrestris (seed)

The seeds in tribulus have a long history of use for vasodilation, which means increasing blood flow by opening blood vessels. This is accomplished by increasing nitric oxide production. This will lower blood pressure and support healthy sexual responses in men and women.

Rauwolfia (raufolfia serpentina) root

Rauwolfia is another significant player in the Carditone formulation. Rauwolfia has shown to be an effective treatment for hypertension. Rauwolfia is rich in alkaloids and studies that use Rauwolfia to treat hypertension showed that 85% of patients experienced a drop in systolic blood pressure, and 81% of patients experienced a drop in diastolic blood pressure. You can read more about that study here

Madagascar periwinkle (vinca rosa) herba

Madagascar periwinkle is also known for its extensive composition of alkaloids. As it has been further studied ajmalicine and serpentine stand out as they are specifically helpful in treating hypertension and circulatory disorders. This makes Madagascar periwinkle a compelling component in Carditone to support healthy circulation and deal with hypertension to support healthy blood pressure in the body.
