Power Greens and Power Greens Premium are both formulated with a blend of super fruit and vegetable powders. They also contain a dairy-free probiotic blend, an enzyme blend, and are sweetened with stevia.
The difference between Power Greens and Power Greens Premium is the addition of a few bonus ingredients. Power Greens includes a proprietary blend of super fruits and vegetables along with digestive enzymes and fiber. The Power Greens Premium formula contains the same ingredients plus 5-MTHF natural folate, a full spectrum adaptogenic herb blend, and an immune-boosting herbal blend.
Fruit and vegetable powders are a source of phytonutrients and antioxidants. Phytonutrients are only found in plants so you must either eat or drink your vegetables to obtain them. Antioxidants are your personal weapon against oxidation and aging. Antioxidant strength is measured by ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity). The ORAC represents the relative strength to fight against oxidation. Power Greens and Power Greens Premium both have high ORAC values.
Many “green powders” include wheatgrass and barley grass as fillers. These formulas primarily contain wheatgrass and barley, with only small amounts of other vegetables and fruits. That means the formula isn’t gluten-free. NuMedica Power Greens and Power Greens Premium are gluten free and do not contain barley or wheatgrass.
I recommend eating or drinking 9-11 servings of vegetables per day. If you don’t eat any vegetables I suggest taking 2 servings of Power Greens Premium per day. The only downside to Power Greens Premium is that it comes in berry flavor, but isn’t available in chocolate. As a self-proclaimed chocolate worshipper, I prefer everything in chocolate. It is only available in berry flavor and is a perfect complement to Total Vegan vanilla flavor. The standard Power Greens is available in chocolate, espresso, mint, and berry flavors.
Power Greens and Power Greens Premium are a potent source of antioxidants. If you don’t eat 9 servings of vegetables per day, these formulas can fill in the nutritional gap. Some people don’t like vegetables, while others have IBS and can’t digest as many vegetables as are needed. There is no reason to miss out on antioxidants and phytonutrients when you can use Power Greens.

All families have a stand-out member that seems to outshine everyone else. Some families have great athletes, musicians, or academics. The Carey family has Mariah, the Williams have Serena and Venus, and the Einstein family has Albert. The echinoderm family has the sea cucumber.
