What You Need To Know About Supreme Nutrition

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Michael and his lovely wife in person. His son, Dr. Noah, who also practices in Washington, was there as well. We met in a crowded courtyard during Expo West 2017. When I say crowded, I mean that 60,000 people were on a lunch break and trying to get some sun rays on their skin, before heading back to the Anaheim Convention Center.

Dr. Michael and his crew were so pleasant and interesting. I’m always curious to meet incredibly intelligent and dedicated individuals. I’m inspired to find successful people that are so kind, honest, and approachable. The Lebowitz Family definitely fits this description.

Supreme Nutrition: How It All Got Started

Dr. Lebowitz explained to me the main reason that he decided to create his own supplement line. In the 1980’s he had started to treat patients with complex illnesses. He began to recognize a pattern of symptoms that were caused by subclinical infections. He was using his unique technique for Applied Kinesiology to detect various fungi, parasites, viruses, and bacteria. He was having great success but began noticing a strange trend: his natural methods and herbs seemed like they were losing their effectiveness.

Then while on a personal vacation to Kauai, he was exposed to leptospirosis. He discovered that if he picked his own noni (Morinda citrifolia) fruit while it was still a little unripe he got better results in treating his own leptospirosis infection. He began picking and drying his own noni fruit to eat as a preventive measure.

Once he got back home to Colorado he bought several different noni products and brands. He tested them using his Applied Kinesiology method and found them ineffective for treating himself and his patients. He started a personal quest to find noni that would meet his standards and test well from an AK (Applied Kinesiology) standpoint.

It did take him some time, but he finally found a noni supplier that tested well. His next step was to find a company to package the product. Most of the packing companies wanted to add binders, fillers or flow agents in order to encapsulate the noni powder. Dr. Lebowitz found that adding these things decreased the efficacy of the noni powder. He finally found a company with the skills and willingness to encapsulate the noni powder without additional ingredients. And so his first product, Morinda Supreme, was born.

He began offering it to other doctors who were using Applied Kinesiology to develop treatment protocols. He took suggestions from his colleagues regarding herbs or nutrients they were looking for.

Because his standards are so rigorous, he individually tests each batch using AK.  As you can imagine, this process is very time-consuming.  Very often, he has to refuse a whole batch of raw ingredients because they don't test well.  If Supreme Nutrition runs out of your favorite product, it is highly likely that Dr. Michael is still looking for a quality batch of raw materials.  

Morinda Supreme

Morinda Supreme was the first product produced by Supreme Nutrition. Dr. Michael's personal experience with Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) motivated him to obtain the best and most effective fruit to use in his formula.

Morinda is best known as a broad spectrum antimicrobial plant. An antimicrobial agent has the ability to target viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites. Morinda has been used against E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, and Aspergillus niger. On top of its ability to battle with these pathogens, it has also been shown to kill Mycoplasma fermentans, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and Mycoplasma penetrans. Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a common plague for those suffering from chronic illnesses, especially Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Chronic Lyme Disease.

Morinda has a dual action for the immune system: it will suppress microbes and stimulate the inherent immune cells within your body. It stimulates NK cells (Natural Killer cells) which are your main immune cells that fight cancer. It also slows the formation of blood vessels to cancer tumors.

Besides its positive effects on the immune system, Morinda has also performed well in dozens of other medical studies. It lowers blood sugar for diabetic patients; some studies have shown benefit to those with ADHD and substance addictions. Morinda has also been proven to increase both dopamine and serotonin which are the neurotransmitters responsible for depression. Morinda has even been used to reduce inflammation in arthritis patients.

Remember that not all Morinda/Noni supplements are created equally. Most products, including Noni juice, have been diluted with other ingredients like fruit juice. Additionally, most Noni juices are pasteurized and fermented. Supreme Nutrition’s Morinda Supreme is raw fresh fruit and leaves that have been dehydrated. Morinda Supreme is not pasteurized or fermented so the powder retains its natural enzymes and antioxidants.

I recommend taking Morinda Supreme with meals to ensure proper digestion and to avoid an upset stomach.

Dr. Lebowitz recommends Morinda Supreme for acute infections as well as prophylactically.

His dosing is:

3 pills 3x per day for acute conditions

3 pills per day for protective/prophylactically

Melia Supreme

Melia Supreme is another broad-spectrum antimicrobial. Melia Supreme contains 100% powdered neem leaf (azadirachta) without any added fillers, binders, or flow agents. Melia Supreme is often used in combination with Morinda Supreme. Together they are a potent combination against drug-resistant microbes. Melia has even been effective against spirochetes (as in Lyme disease).

Patients dealing with Lyme disease or other spirochete infections often resort to high doses of antibiotics. In some patients, this therapy is effective against the Lyme spirochete but very detrimental to the digestive tract and microbiome. Melia does not harm beneficial gut bacteria in the same way that high-dose antibiotics do and is still effective for Lyme and other spirochete infections.

Like Morinda, Melia has been proven against drug-resistant candida and gram-positive bacterial infections. And, just like Morinda, it shows anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.

Neem plant is native to India and has been used medicinally for 2500 years. The word “neem” means “the healer and illness reliever” in the ancient Sanskrit language. Neem plants act as sponges for environmental toxins. Because of that Dr. Lebowitz and his assistants are very particular about their neem plants and test them thoroughly before processing and encapsulating.

Dr. Lebowitz considers Melia Supreme the strongest antimicrobial agent in his product line. He recommends 1 cap 3 times per day.

Takesumi Supreme

Supreme Nutrition’s most unique product is Takesumi Supreme. In fact, it is one of the most unique products I have used for my personal battle with Lyme Disease and Toxic Mold Exposure. Takesumi is carbonized bamboo charcoal.

It is a fine black powdered charcoal and is NOTHING like the activated charcoal that you take in capsule form. Takesumi is made from carbonized bamboo. Reportedly, bamboo is 10 times more absorbent than other woods used for charcoal supplements.

There have not been many human studies or medical research on Takesumi carbonized bamboo charcoal. However, in vivo studies have shown it very effective at binding to mercury, lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals. It may absorb mycotoxins and endotoxins created by pathogenic microbes.

Dr. Michael recommends 2 doses per week for general maintenance. Most of the Lyme-literature practitioners are recommending 1-2 times daily for their patients. I have taken Takesumi 2 times per day for months at a time and it still tested helpful for me, so I continue to take it.

A note about taking Takesumi. It is a strong binder. We know that it binds to heavy metals and may bind to other minerals and nutrients. It is important to take Takesumi at least 30 minutes before eating and taking any medications or supplements. Takesumi may also be taken 1-2 hours after taking prescriptions or supplements. I recommend drinking at least 12 ounces of water with every dose of Takesumi powder or capsules.
