Xymogen - Brand & Products
Founded by Brian Blackburn in 2004, Xymogen is a fairly “new” company. What they may lack in age, they make up for in experience and successful innovative business strategies.
Xymogen is a mouthful to say and even more to spell. That isn’t the only thing that differentiates them from other companies. They have always led the professional supplement industry in protecting their brand. They were among the first to institute tight regulations on tracking their finished products to avoid counterfeit products being sold online.
Buying Xymogen Products
They call their process an ePedigree. By using a unique electronic barcode/QR code on each bottle, they can track each product until it reaches you, the consumer. This procedure allows them to monitor the shipping, storage, and expiration of each and every bottle.
Some of their best products include Xcellent C, Adrenal Manager, Omega Monopure, B Activ and their unique sleep product Synovx. Xymogen Xcellent C is a trademarked vitamin C formula that contains black pepper to increase absorption.
Protein Powders
They have several unique meal replacements that target specific body systems. These functional foods have a base of vegan protein powder and each includes healthy fats and fiber.
Brain Sustain has a vegan protein blend along with brain nutrients Phosphatidylserine, Coenzyme Z10, and Acetyl-l-Carnitine. It was created in conjunction with world-renowned neurologist Dr. David Perlmutter, author of Grain Brain.
FitFood Lean contains a patented ingredient, Artinia Chitin-Glucan that was used in a 6-week human trial. That study showed Artinia supports healthy LDL (bad cholesterol) levels. That is why I recommend it to my clients who have high triglycerides or LDL levels. I also recommend it for clients who are working on weight loss. FitFood Lean is available with or without added sugar and stevia.
OptiCleanse is also a vegan protein that is available with or without added sugar and stevia as sweeteners. OptiCleanse contains vegan protein and Aminogen vegan digestive enzymes. It also includes a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals, along with liver-supportive nutrients such as green tea extract, N-acetyl-cysteine, and MSM. I recommend using Opticleanse along with an elimination diet or intermittent fasting to detoxify your liver and digestive tract. Detoxifying is an important part of weight loss, so I usually start my clients on 2 weeks of using OptiCleanse, followed by 2 weeks of FitFood Lean or OptiMetaboliX 2:1.
All three of these functional food protein powders are vegan and hypoallergenic. Xymogen does offer a dairy-based protein powder FitFood Lean Whey.
Probiotics
The ProbioMax family of formulas is an all-star player in their line-up. These probiotics contain 18 different strains of bacteria. ProbioMax 350 contains 350 billion colony forming units (cfu’s). This formula provides the strongest probiotic supplement that I am aware of. I recommend this for GI disorders or after a course of antibiotics. The maintenance ProbioMax complete contains 45 billion cfus. All of the versions are dairy-free and are high potency probiotics.

Xymogen opened its new global headquarters in Florida in 2012. Not only is their facility cGmp certified, it also adheres to LEED standards. Their 308,000 square foot campus includes a research and testing lab so that they can ensure the quality of all of their raw materials and ingredients. In 2014 they were named in Inc. Magazine’s 5000 list of one of the fastest-growing companies.
The company mantra is “the journey is the reward.” And they support a people-first culture with their employees. They distribute to multiple countries from North America to Indonesia.
Xymogen is an environmentally aware company. They were among the first to pledge with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) CleanSeas initiative. To support the reduction of marine litter, they are changing the packaging on several products.
