Skin, Bone, and Joint Health
Introducing Smidge's fresh, grass-fed Australian Emu Oil softgels. Sustainably sourced from robust emus that happily graze on the grassy pastures of Southeast Australia — the only continent in the world with indigenous emus.
This traditional fat is from the Heritage-bred emu bird, and these genetics are imperative to the supplement’s nutrition. It has a synergistic combination of unadulterated, natural nutrients — especially vitamin K2 (MK-4).
Smidge gently crafts their oil to retain its rich nutrients and cofactors, including omega fatty acids 3,6,7 and 9. To support collagen production, skin and bone health, joint mobility, mild inflammation, and more.

Smidge® Australian Emu Oil is best taken with food. You can take it at any time of day, with a meal. Take the full recommended dosage at one time.
Warning: Smidge® is premium, pure, and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a very small dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what dosage feels right for you.
Please note that the nutrient information on Smidge's label will vary slightly from batch to batch, as this is a real food supplement and regular testing reflects nature’s ebbs and flows.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
Sourced from Australian Heritage emus
As mentioned above, Smidge's Emu Oil softgels are sustainably sourced from Heritage-bred emus that graze on the pastures of Southeast Australia — the only continent in the world with indigenous emus that have genetics imperative to the oil's nutrition.
Smidge partners with a small family company in Australia that has been living and breathing emu oil for decades. Smidge's partners are at the forefront of emu oil research, working with the Australian government and a university. They’re also pioneers of sophisticated rendering plant design and hold meaningful leadership positions — such as the Emu Industry Federation of Australia.
Crafted according to nourishing tradition
To bring its precious oil to you, we maintain quality and control over the entire process — from rendering to crafting and bottling the oil in fresh, small batches.
This efficient and advanced method preserves the integrity and yields the highest quality Emu Oil, reflected in the natural vitamin K2 (MK-4) and its naturally occurring cofactors.
Emu Oil benefits
The emu is a grandiose, flightless bird native to Australia that has survived for between 60 and 100 million years! Its fat stores nutrition and energy, and serves the bird when it’s needed most: during drought, famine, and reproduction phases.
Considered traditional food, emu oil gave the Aboriginal people of Australia essential nutrients while living in some of the harshest conditions on earth. Today, emu oil supports collagen production and skin and bone health.
Here are some other reported benefits of emu oil, according to scientific studies:
Pure, real food Emu Oil
Each serving contains 1,500 mg of 100% pure Smidge® Emu Oil. The best part is it doesn’t require conversion like other forms of vitamin K (like MK-7, the plant form), so your body can readily use and absorb it.
And you won’t find fillers, additives, or common allergens.
Who should consider adding Emu Oil to their supplement routine?
Here are some examples of our customers who take Smidge® Australian Emu Oil:
The most bioavailable and absorbable form of vitamin K
Smidge® Australian Emu Oil provides the most bioavailable and absorbable form of vitamin K, which is vitamin K2 as MK-4 (the fat-soluble, converted form of vitamin K2 from animal fat (not plants)).
This is because your biochemistry must first convert all forms of vitamin K into vitamin K2 (MK-4) — to be absorbed and utilized in the body — including vitamin K1 and MK-7 (plant-based forms of vitamin K).
And the conversion rate in the body from the plant forms of vitamin K (K1 and K7) is low and dependent on gut health. For instance, many people only absorb about 20% of vitamin K1. So, you’re likely only to get a small amount of vitamin K when you take it in the plant form, MK-7.
Smidge's Emu Oil doesn’t require conversion in your body to get the most out of the vitamin, because it’s been converted for you through the grass-fed Australian emus’ healthy digestion.
You also won’t find it at your local health food store. It’s that precious.
