    More Info

Rhodiola supports emotional balance, acting as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) and increasing levels of serotonin. In human studies, rhodiola has been shown to have positive effects on mood and reduce physical and mental fatigue. Rhodiola has a long history of safe use, but should be used with caution with medications which may impact serotonin levels due to its action as a MAOI. Because of potential stimulating effects, it is best taken in the earlier part of the day. Adequate levels of magnesium support a balanced mood and a healthy response to stress. Supplementation with magnesium also has been shown to improve normal premenstrual symptoms and menstrual discomfort. Magnesium may have synergistic effects with vitamin B6 in promoting a healthy mood premenstrually. Adequacy of vitamin B6 is important for a healthy mood, cognitive function, and homocysteine metabolism. Supplementation of vitamin B6 may help reduce normal premenstrual symptoms and the side effects associated with oral contraceptive use. Taurine is a semi-essential amino acid that supports normal neuronal activity, cognitive function, cellular membrane function, and energy production.
