Allergy Research Group EDTA 300 has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

EDTA 300 is a specially formulated dipotassium salt of EDTA magnesium chelate, containing 20% potassium and 6% magnesium by weight. The recommended daily serving of 6 tablets supplies 1.8 g of EDTA complex, equivalent to 1.3 g of EDTA free acid.

Because potassium and magnesium are two essential minerals, mainly found inside the cells of the body and important for good health, the EDTA preparation in the current formulation uses the dipotassium salt of the EDTA magnesium chelate.* The EDTA dipotassium magnesium chelate provides supplemental amounts of these two essential minerals, which are often deficient in the typical diet.* Since potassium and magnesium are loosely bound to EDTA, they are readily released in the bowel, and available for absorption and utilization in the body.

    Suggested Use

As a dietary supplement, 3 tablets with a glass of water two times daily, 30 minutes before breakfast and at bedtime, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

    More Info

About 95% of the EDTA passes through the bowel unabsorbed. Once the EDTA chelate releases the potassium and magnesium and becomes free EDTA, it can trap toxic metals and excrete them in the stools, lowering the burden of toxic metals in the body.* The liver assists in the detoxification of toxic metals by releasing them slowly into the bile, which eventually ends up in the bowel. The kidneys can also help filter lead and other heavy metals into the urine. Oral EDTA may prevent reabsorption of these toxic metals after they tightly attach to EDTA, and therefore help decrease the amount of these undesirable substances in the body.
