Immune Health
The immunoglobulin (Ig) and growth factors in IgG Protect can promote passive immunity, or the transfer of immunity from one organism to another. IgG protect supports the immune system within the upper respiratory tract.
An optimally functioning immune system prevents unwanted toxins and molecules from disturbing homeostasis. Colostrum, the easily digestible milk produced after birth, is abundant in bioactive molecules, including IgGs and antimicrobial peptides, which confer passive immunity. There are five main Ig classes, the most common being IgG, which accounts for 70-75% of all serum antibodies in the body, playing a major role in the immune system.
IgG Protect is manufactured using advanced filtration and purification techniques to ensure consistency in potency and purity, and provides 1,000 mg of IgG and 2 g of protein per serving.

Broad-Range Specificity Immunoglobulins
In addition to other bioactive compounds that may enhance the immune system, bovine colostrum includes high quantities of IgG, which can be effective in preventing immune challenges in the gastrointestinal tract.
Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin is an iron-binding glycoprotein that facilitates iron absorption. Lactoferrin modulates cytokine release, and its receptors have been found on many immune cells, including lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and platelets.
Proline-Rich Peptides (Colostrinin)
Proline-rich peptides (PRPs), also known as colostrinin, are colostrum-derived proline-rich peptide mixtures that modulate immune response. Influencing the signal pathways of protein synthesis and cellular function, PRPs may also have an antioxidant effect, including reducing markers of lipid peroxidation and preserving glutathione levels.
Growth Factors
Growth factors in colostrum extract, such as insulin-like growth factor 1 and 2 (IGF-1 and IGF-2) and transforming growth factor-beta 2 (TGF-β2), function to stimulate normal epithelial tissue growth and upregulate B-cell growth and differentiation to increase antibody production. These growth factors also affect rates of protein synthesis and degradation, as well as DNA synthesis, reducing gut permeability and enhancing cell rejuvenation.
Sialic Acid
Sialic acids are terminal sugars on many glycoproteins and glycolipids, are highly enriched in the brain, and have documented roles in neuronal development, synaptic plasticity, and immune modulation.
