Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is a bio-identical acid amide synthesized by healthy tissue in response to inflammation. PEA has been scientifically shown to act as a Peroxisome Proliferator Alpha (PPA) agonist and naturally possesses anti-inflammatory, neuro-protective, and anti-nociceptive (pain control) properties.
