As a source of omega-3 and omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids, Phyto EFA® supplies the long chain, essential fatty acids (EFAs) alpha-linolenic (ALA) and linoleic acid (LA)— as well as important other fatty acids like stearidonic acid (SDA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), —in a convenient softgel form.
Ahiflower® seed oil, is derived from Buglossoides arvensis, a naturally wild and now cultivated, traceable non-GMO crop. On average, Ahiflower® seed oil contains 60-65% omega 3 fatty acids, is the richest single source of SDA (most readily converted to EPA) known, and provides the beneficial omega-6 GLA, not found in fish-sourced fatty acids. Ahiflower® seed oil also delivers monounsaturated omega 9 in the form of oleic acid.
As a complement, algal oil is sourced from the sustainable micro-algae, Schizochytrium sp. Algal oil is a significant source of the omega 3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, which help moderate immune response and are critical for brain, retinal, and neural development. Omega 3s also support normal cardiovascular health, recovery, sleep, and mood. Algal oil is non-GMO, sustainable, and has zero impact on the marine ecosystem.
