Tocomin SupraBio® (also known as ExcelVite EVNol SupraBio®) is extracted and concentrated from fresh, virgin red palm oil, from ripe palm fruits (Elaeis guineensis). It undergoes as little refining as possible, so it retains the valuable trace nutrients that naturally occur in red palm oil, including squalene, phyto-sterols, carotenes, and Co-Q10. Other palm tocotrienols are derived from “palm fatty acid distillate” (PFAD), a byproduct produced during the refining of crude palm oil to refined cooking oil. PFAD is normally used as animal feed, or to make industrial grade soap. Tocomin SupraBio® Tocotrienols are the only tocotrienols which are extracted from virgin palm oil. They are produced using a patented, integrated process of extraction and molecular distillation (low temperature and extremely high vacuum), in a GMP-certified and ISO-certified facility.
Tocotrienols are poorly absorbed. The SupraBio® system is a patented self-emulsifying composition which enhances absorption compared to regular tocotrienol oil extracts.
After ingestion, it will self-emulsify in the gastrointestinal tract to form particles of colloidal dimensions, mimicking the intraluminal process of optimal tocotrienol absorption. This novel delivery system improves oral absorption 200-300%.
