Vitamin D receptors are widely distributed in the body, including the colon, prostate, breast, and ovary, where they act to inhibit the excessive growth of body cells and tissues and help cells mature normally. Many older adults and those with malabsorption, limited sun exposure, or certain illnesses may need higher intakes of vitamin D. Each 1 mL dropper provides 5,000 IU pure vitamin D3, formulated in hypoallergenic, easy-to-absorb medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil.
