I often have clients who want to drop 10 pounds in the next month. They have set this goal because they want to look great for a special occasion or vacation.
The good news: It is entirely possible to lose 10 pounds in a month.
The bad news: Rapid weight loss is usually "water weight" and very damaging to the metabolism. Your metabolism can be your best friend or your worst enemy. So don't screw with it!
The conclusion: Healthy and steady weight loss is best for your overall health. Rapid weight loss may work in the short term, but has negative long term consequences.
There are some SAFE and proven strategies for accelerating weight loss that I will share with you below.
Healthy weight loss is defined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as 1-2 pounds per week. I tend to agree with this. There are a few safe ways to accelerate healthy weight loss without damaging your metabolism.
