Help Your Heart with Arterosil HP

by Carly Neubert, BA, NC on May 15, 2023

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and most racial and ethnic groups across the US, according to the CDC. Heart disease costs the United States about $230 billion or more each year. Almost 700,000 people die each year, which is about 1 person every 34 seconds. So, in the time it took you to open this blog and read this paragraph, someone died from heart disease. That is sobering news, and causes me to ask for better solutions.

More sobering fact about heart disease from the CDC.

The American Heart Association has done a great job with their public awareness campaigns for the major risk factors and has an exhaustive section about diet and lifestyle on their website.

Besides all of the healthy nutrients we already know about and the healthy habits we strive to embody, could there be something else that could hold the key to heart health? A patented extract of Rhamnan sulfate, as found in Arterosil HP, may be the nutrient that unlocks the healing power in your heart.  First we need to understand the endothelial glycocalyx and its role in your vascular health.

The endothelial glycocalyx (EGX) is a slippery smooth lining in your blood vessels.  There are over 60,000 miles worth of blood vessels in your body.  Their main job is to deliver oxygen and nutrients to your organs, and to carry waste and toxins away from vital organs.

Your EGX is in every single one and part of your blood vessels. Its job is to surveil what is in your bloodstream and what is allowed to pass from your bloodstream into your body.  You can think of it as a security guard that keeps harmful molecules from moving from your bloodstream into the rest of your body.  If you looked at the EGX under a microscope you might describe it as a gel-like substance with hair-like fibers and tiny pores.  It is semi-porous so it can let some molecules in and out of your bloodstream.  This allows nutrients from your food to move through your bloodstream and into the rest of your body.   Your EGX also contains coagulation factors.

It also supports healthy blood flow and has antioxidant molecules embedded in it.

Beside being a sort of security guard at the gates between your bloodstream and body tissues, your EGX is responsible for signaling for the production of nitric oxide (NO). This is the gas that plays a critical role in your heart health by:

  • Supporting normal blood circulation
  • Keeping blood pressure in already normal ranges
  • Improving muscles performance during exercise
  • Helping your heart and muscles recover after exercise
  • Supporting healthy sexual function in both men and women
  • Playing a leading role in stamina and energy
  • Widening blood vessels for blood flow

Damage to the endothelial glycocalyx (EGX)

It is well documented that heart disease is accompanied by damage to the endothelial glycocalyx (EGX).  Risk factors for heart disease are the same factors that cause damage to your EGX. The top causes of damaged EGX are:

  • Chronic stress
  • High blood sugar/diabetes
  • High fat and high sugar meals
  • Aging
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Smoking

New evidence suggests that the Covid-19 virus damages your EGX. A study in 2020  recorded ICU patients with the virus and showed their glycocalyx (EGX) was damaged and they had decreased nitric oxide production and increased thrombosis (blood clots). The European Heart Journal reported that Covid-19 is an endothelial disease, so it makes sense that nutrients that support the endothelial glycocalyx may support acute and long covid symptoms and recovery.

In 2020, a research study linked patients with poor EGX status as high risk of severe covid symptoms.  In 2021, a group in Japan found evidence for treating the endothelial glycocalyx in acute and long term covid patients.

Here are several more studies linking Covid-19 to endothelial glycocalyx damage:

Endothelial Glycocalyx Supplement

Arterosil HP Ingredients

Arterosil HP is made from a rare seaweed (MonitumRS) that fortifies the structure of endothelial glycocalyx (EGX)  and its normal functions. Rhamnan sulfate is extracted from Monostroma nitidum.  This seaweed is sustainably wild harvested by Calroy Health Sciences, the manufacturer of Arterosil HP.  It is independently tested for purity and the absence of heavy metals, pesticides, radioactivity, bacteria and fungi.

MonitumRS is the name of the full-spectrum extract taken from the Monostroma nitidum seaweed that has been verified in medical studies for the past 25 years.  This potent extract has been tested at universities and medical research labs.  Research partners include Drexel University and St. Thomas West Hospital.  Studies using MonitumRS have included both animal and human testing.  This extract has already received 2 patents and more are pending.

Arterosil HP and atherosclerosis

There is even new evidence that rhamnan sulfate, the seaweed extract in Arterosil HP, can reduce and reverse atherosclerotic plaque commonly called hardened arteries.   Rhamnan sulfate is similar to heparan sulfate which is naturally found in the EGX.

Arterosil HP for erectile dysfunction
Because it supports nitric oxide production, Arterosil may reduce erectile dysfunction

Arterosil for long-haul covid

Arterosil HP has not been studied in long-haul Covid patients, but it has been studied in animal models with the Covid virus.   Rhamnan sulfate, the patented extract in Arterosil HP, has been proven to improve the stability and function of your EGX, and many studies show that your EGX is damaged during a covid infection.

Arterosil HP side effects:

There are not reported toxic or adverse side effects with Arterosil HP.

The active ingredient in ARterosil is Rhamnan Sulfate which is a nutrient extracted from seaweed. The patented nutrient name of Rhamnan Sulfate is MonidumRS.

What is Arterosil HP good for?

The active ingredient in Arterosil HP is Rhamnan Sulfate. It has been studied for lowering blood pressure, improving arterial plaque, and regenerating the endothelial glycocalyx.

Does Arterosil HP lower blood pressure?

The active ingredient in Arterosil HP has been studied for both reducing blood pressure and arterial plaques.

How do you take Arterosil HP?

You can take Arterosil with out without food. I recommend taking with food to avoid indigestion or nausea.

Is Arterosil FDA approved?

Arterosil HP is a supplement, not a drug. It is not FDA approved as a drug.

Who makes Arterosil HP?

Calroy Health Sciences makes Arterosil HP from patented seaweed extract MonidumRS.

Does Arterosil HP work?

The main ingredient in Arterosil HP is Rhamnan sulfate. It has been proven to support the endothelial glycocalyx (EGX) which plays a role in heart health and is implicated in long-haul covid symptoms.

Does glycoclyx regenerate?

Yes, medical research has proven that a damaged EGX can regenerate and return to optimal function.

What are the side effects for Arterosil HP?

Arterosil HP side effects have not been reported. No adverse side effects have been reported for Arterosil, even at doses up to 6 capsules per day.
